Finding Your Way Back to Yourself

Substance use rarely travels alone. It often arrives alongside grief, trauma, chronic stress, or the quiet exhaustion of carrying more than one person should. It affects not just the individual but the people they love and the communities they belong to. In the Central Valley, where economic pressure, agricultural stress, and limited access to care intersect, the need for compassionate, clinically grounded support has never been greater.

At Philos Therapeutic, we do not see substance use as a moral failure. We see it as a signal that something deeper needs attention. Our approach is integrated, meaning we treat the whole person, not just the substance use, because healing one without addressing the other rarely holds.

How We Can Help

We offer individual therapy and group therapy for adults navigating substance use and its impact on their lives and relationships.

Individual Therapy One-on-one sessions provide a confidential space to explore the roots of substance use, identify personal triggers, and build a recovery path that fits your life.

Group Therapy Community is one of the most powerful forces in recovery. Our groups offer peer connection, shared accountability, and skill-building in a safe, facilitated environment.

Current group offerings include:

  • Seeking Safety: an evidence-based group addressing trauma and substance use together, recognizing how often the two are intertwined. We offer gender-specific cohorts for those who prefer a same-gender healing space.
  • Know Yourself, Protect Yourself: a skills-focused group helping participants recognize high-risk situations and build practical responses before cravings escalate.
  • Recovery Planning & Maintenance: a forward-facing group centered on building your personal recovery plan, strengthening your support system, and preparing for the road ahead.

You Do Not Have to Do This Alone

Recovery is not a straight line, and it does not have a single definition. Whether you are just beginning to consider change, returning after a setback, or looking to strengthen the progress you have already made, there is a place for you here.
